Admissions Criteria

Number of Funded Places. 34

For Pre-school Funded Places for children born between 2 July 2016 and 1 July 2017

In the event of oversubscription, the following criteria will be applied in order set down.

1 Children from socially disadvantaged circumstances who were born between 2 July 2016 and 1 July 2017. An application form
must be stamped by the Social Security Agency.

2. Other children who were born between 2 July 2016 and 1 July 2017


Sub Criteria
In the event of over-subscription within any of the above criteria the following sub criteria will apply:-

a.Children who already attend Little Acorns Pre-school in a paying capacity and have specified Little Acorns Pre-school as their first choice.
b.Children who have specified Little Acorns as their first choice.
c.Children who have a parent/guardian employed within the pre-school and Clandeboye Primary School.
d.Children who have older siblings attending Clandeboye Primary School.
e.Children who have had a brother/sister, half/sister, mother/father attending Little Acorns Pre-school.
f.Children who are the eldest or only child of a family.
g.Date of birth – oldest first. Should children share a birthday, preference will be given on the basis of proximity
to the school, as measured by road or public footpath.

Applcants should note that they may be required at some stage to provide documents to verify their address.

B.
Non Funded places (children that will be three in the term in which they are admitted).

Children who have had brothers or sisters attending Little Acorns Pre-school.
Children that have older brothers/sisters, half brother/sisters attending Clandeboye Primary School.
Children according to date of application.
Date of birth. Should children share a birthday, preference will be given on the basis of proximity to the school, as measured by road or public footpath.
