 Admissions Criteria for intake 2022/2023

The Application procedure for Funded Pre-school Places opens on  10 January 2022 at 12.00noon (GMT) and applications need to be submitted online by closing date of 28th January 2022 at 12noon (GMT), after this date any applications will be considered as late.

 Apply online at  www.eani.org.uk/admissions under 'Pre-School Admissions', using the the following criteria. (e.g. 2a & 2e etc.) 

Little Acorns Pre-school Admission Criteria

A.

Pre-school Places  are available for children born between 2 July 2018 and 1 July 2019

In the event of over-subscription, the following criteria will be applied in the order set down.

1.  Children from socially disadvantaged circumstances who were born between 2 July 2018 and 1 July 2019.
      Benefit Verification will be required to confirm that they are in receipt of  a qualifying payment.

2.  Other children who were born between 2 July 2018 and 1 July 2019

Sub Criteria
In the event of over-subscription within any of the above criteria the following sub criteria will apply:-

a.  Children who have specified Little Acorns Pre-school as their first preference.
b.  Children who are already attending Little Acorns Pre-school in a paying capacity in their pre pre-school year.
c.  Children who have previously had a brother/sister, half brother/sister attend Little Acorns Pre-school.
d.  Children who are the eldest or only child of the family.
e.  Children who have or have had an older sibling attend Clandeboye Primary School.
f.  Other preferences will be considered e.g. 2nd 3rd
g. The geographical location of the child's address on the basis of proximity to the pre-school measured by Google maps. walking    
     distance. Child closest in walking distance will be admitted first.

Please supply a birth certificate to your first Preference.  

Applicants should note that they may be required at some stage to provide documents to verify their address.

Waiting List Policy
The Waiting List Policy is available directly from the Pre-school

B.
Non Funded Pre-Pre-school  places (children that will be three in the term in which they are admitted).

Children who have had brothers or sisters attend Little Acorns Pre-school.
Children that have older brothers/sisters, half brother/sisters attending Clandeboye Primary School.
Date of birth - oldest first.
