PrePre Admission Criteria
- Pre-pre children can be admitted from 2 years 10 months and are fully toilet trained. These are fee-paying places and payments will be collected each month. If payments are not made within a month. If payment is not made within a month, the place will be withdrawn unless other arrangements for payment are made.
- Welcome children and their families from all sections of the local and wider community irrespective of gender, culture, religion, race, family background, with or without disabilities.
- Operating a waiting list that meets the needs of the families in the local community and not on a first-come first-served basis. the set criteria will be applied to the waiting list.
- Providing opportunities for children will special needs. The preschool leaders will liaise closely with the families/carers/professionals to assess the preschool’s ability to meet the needs of the individual child and their disability. (Refer to Special Needs Policy)
- Children referred to Little Acorns by the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust will take priority over other children on the waiting list as and when the list for the following year is drawn up or when a vacancy occurs.
- Monitoring admissions to Little Acorns Preschool to ensure no accidental discrimination is taking place.
- Make our Equal Opportunities Policy known and available in the hall at all times.
